Bee ass

Bee assembly

Pennington Infants planted a wildflower meadow in pouring rain (see article below). Children were great and thoroughly enjoyed their experience with several asking to stay to rake over the ground rather than have their lunch!

Headteacher Sarah Draper was keen for all children to know why the wildflower area was planted, so they took part in an assembly that answered the question.

It was particularly good to see two of the knowledgeable and keen children that took place in a weekend Bioblitz came from the group that had sown the seeds.

In a fitting end to the assembly, children sang a bee song that they had previously prepared in their music lesson!
