Preparing for RSPB Schools' Birdwatch at Ringwood

Published on 2015-01-14 by Gill Hickman

Ringwood wildlife club students prepared their own fatballs in preparation for Birdwatch. It is a good idea to feed birds well in advance before you run Birdwatch. Their newly restored conservation area contains a good variety of habitats and include pond edge (that can house sedge warbers) and various conifers in which Goldcrests are sometimes found. Students report that the survey recorded more birds on site than they expected.
