Year 2 Fairtrade Day

Year 2 children brought in products from home that displayed the Fairtrade logo. This helped them to think about what Fairtrade means. They took part in various fun activities such as playing a board game that helped explore the concept of fairness, making smoothies from Fairtrade bananas, wearing green and yellow T shirts and making a shape on the hall floor in the shape of a huge Fairtrade banana. Teachers hope that the concept of making things fair will stay with the children for a long time.
