This website is again intended for primary teachers and pupils. It includes Captain Splosh to help children understand more about water.

Climate Futures

The Comino Foundation has funded a portfolio of materials to support teachers in their teaching of environment and climate change issues. The core portfolio called 'Climate Futures' is now on the Internet. This this site is available on subscription to 25,000 teachers, but the Foundation has agreed that the Climate Futures materials can be accessed and downloaded without charge. UPD8 is excellent and if you don't subscribe, it might be a good idea to do so.

WaterWise

A UK based organisation that aims to decrease water consumption. The site offers lots of water saving advice including information on water efficient white goods.

Water Guide

An attractive website that is easy to read and which gives advice and tips as well as information on all of the major water companies.

Southern Water

Southern Water will provide small financial grants for schools within the Southern Water region (Kent, Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight) to develop environmental initiatives within the school. Recommended! Ask me for an excellent contact. The type of project that will be supported include gardens (preferably water efficient), wildlife gardens, ponds, environment clubs.

Veolia Water

Veolia Water claim to be resourcing the world! They offer free and discounted water efficiency devices such as hippos, save-a-flush, tap inserts and shower flow regulators. These can be ordered via the Veolia Water website where lots of water efficiency tips and hints can be found on the Water Efficient House pages
